What is the plan for inclement weather?
Thunderstorm and winds are expected Saturday but weather isn't going to ruin the fun! Our fair-themed event has been moved indoors to the Campus Rec Center (1011 Academy Street, San Marcos, TX 78666).

What is Spring Family Day?
A family-friendly on-campus celebration designed for students and their families to reconnect during the semester, enjoy time together, and make lasting memories.
The 2026 event features a fair–themed experience with classic fair food, activities, and the opportunity to attend a baseball game (pending weather) on campus.

Where is Spring Family Day located?
The signature event will take place at the Campus Recreation Center located at 1011 Academy Street, San Marcos, TX 78666.
Please note we will no longer be set up at the University Events Center (UEC) Green.

Who is Invited to Spring Family Day?
All current Texas State students and their families are invited to attend!

What is included in my free Spring Family Day registration?
Spring Family Day is free to attend with optional purchases available (example: food vouchers, t-shirts, athletic tickets, etc.) while supplies last.
Free registration includes all fair games, face painting, and other activities provided.
Activities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Is there a cost to park on campus?
Free parking is available for Spring Family Day*. See the Parking page for more details.
*Note that pay-to-park garages and individually reserved spaces (clearly marked with signage) are not included in free parking options.

How do I request special accommodations for my Spring Family Day experience?
To request special accommodations for this event, please complete the “Request Accommodations” form at least 72 hours prior to the start of event(s).

What is the deadline to register?
Pre-registration has closed.
On-site registration is allowed and purchase of both food vouchers and Spring Family Day t-shirts will be available on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.

Where do I register for Spring Family Day?
Pre-registration is now closed; on-site registration is available!* Simply arrive at the Campus Rec and check in to enjoy the event on March 7 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.
*Limited quantities of food vouchers and t-shirts will be available for purchase on-site on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

Where do I check in upon arrival?
There will be a clearly marked table at the Campus Rec (1011 Academy Street, San Marcos, TX 78666) for check in and pick up of purchased items day-of. It is helpful to have your confirmation email on your mobile device for the quickest check in experience.

Where can I pick up my optional purchases?
Any pre-purchased Spring Family Day items (food vouchers, t-shirts) will be available for pick up at the check in table at the Campus Rec.
Please note that theatre tickets and athletics tickets are purchased separately and are not handled by the New Student and Family Experiences. See the schedule for purchase details.

May I pick up my Athletics and Theater Ticket purchases at Spring Family Day Check-In?
No; purchases made through the Theatre Department and Athletics will be picked up via their respective processes. Please refer to the information provided within your confirmation email for those purchases for all details.
